Our Journey Begins

Paws of Hope Bulldog Rescue was founded by three passionate women with one shared mission: to give French and English Bulldogs a second chance at life.

We are committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming bulldogs in need, making sure each one finds a forever family and the love-filled life they truly deserve.

Seeing our dogs happy, safe, and thriving is what drives us forward every day. This journey may be challenging, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. Our goal is simple: to make sure every dog we help knows what real love feels like.

Together, with the support of our amazing community, we turn hope into homes, one bulldog at a time. 🐶❤️

Our Team

At Paws of Hope Bulldog Rescue, we are run by 3 founders however, our work is powered by a dedicated team of many volunteers - passionate animal lovers who go above and beyond to rescue, nurture, and rehome bulldogs in need.

Every member of our team gives their time freely, often juggling jobs and family life, yet still making space to care for the dogs who need us most. From transport and fostering to admin and fundraising, our incredible volunteers are the heart of everything we do.

We are proud to have a network of committed individuals spread across the entire UK, each playing a vital role in turning compassion into action.

To every single one of you - THANK YOU! We simply couldn’t do it without you!

Hi I'm Emma - I'm the single one with the gsoh bat shit crazy enjoy a pint and a cob, and the occasional black sambucca...

I'm a dog lover, founder,  rescue volunteer, and full-time chaos coordinator (thanks to my pup Nova – aka Feral Beryl). I’ve been volunteering in rescue for over 8 years and have had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember.

Mum to three grown-up kids, lover of city breaks, theatre trips, and helping animals find their happy ever after. Rescue life is messy, busy, and emotional — and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Stacey, Leanne and I started talking about going on this crazy journey sometime last year and I couldn't think of 2 better ladies to do this with.... Alcohol helps on the not so great days as does the laughter and friendship on the good and bad days 🩷

Its a pleasure to be on this journey not only with these 2 amazing ladies but with our team of volunteers beside us and of course our wonderful followers

Leanne Richardson

Hi, I’m Leanne - aq wife, new mum, dog mum, snake mum, and tarantula mum too,! I'm also an estate agent, and founder of our fast-growing animal rescue. I’m passionate about giving animals a second chance at life, wherever possible.

Driven by purpose and fueled by love, I juggle family life with two missions: finding the perfect home for humans and the perfect family for dogs.

Away from work life, I love to travel and see new places, spend time with family and my closest friends, and my guilty pleasure is playing call of duty to de-stress!

Along the way, I’ve been incredibly lucky to meet two amazing women who are now close friends. We share this wild rescue journey together, full of chaos, brutal honesty, and plenty of laughter. It’s the perfect combination!

Paws of Hope Bulldog Rescue is thriving due to the love and supprot we have from our amazing team of volunteers 🩷

Stacey Mechbal

Hi, I’m Stacey — wife to B, mama to Mila, and proud dog mama to our little devil frenchie, Pablo. I’m also one of the founders of Paws of Hope Bulldog Rescue, this isn't my first rodeo at rescue as I’ve been pouring my heart into bulldog rescue work for the past 8 years.

Running a home and a rescue means I’ve become quite the expert at spinning plates — and while it’s often chaotic, it’s also incredibly rewarding. I’m lucky to share the rescue journey with two amazing friends, Emma and Leanne. Together, we tackle the hard stuff with heart, a lot of laughter, and maybe a bit too much swearing and wine!

Every dog has a story, and it’s a privilege to help them write a new chapter.

Outside the rescue world, I love travelling, cooking, and baking treats (especially when they’re shared with family, friends, and the occasional four-legged helper who is never far away when mama is in the kitchen).
